As the main organization in charge of regulating and providing direction to the pearl industry in the Cook Islands, The Cook Islands Pearl Authority (CIPA) contacted Avanti Intereactive to build an online center where its wholesalers could access their pearl inventories directly. By understanding the industry needs with the help from CIPA, Avanti Interactive has been working on a new fully responsive website to address its needs including promotion, website optimization, and social media presence.
Avanti Interactive aided CIPA in creating a website to promote its industry to the international jewelry trade and to provide a first point for wholesale trade buyers. Avanti Interactive also provided focal point for the international trade to enquire about the pearl industry in the Cook Islands and for the general public to find out about Cook Islands Pearls and where they could purchase them.
Among the main objectives the online portal will aid CIPA to increase sales and raise awareness about the Cook Islands pearl industry as well as to increase our number of trade buyers and outlets internationally. Success will be determined by the increase in the number of trade retailers and wholesalers that buy from the Pearl Exchange as well as by the number of buyers that the portal registers and the number of sales/value of sales that are made to the international market.
